Managing Staff with Mental Health Concerns

Many employees in organisations who have a mental health issue also do not disclose their condition or seek help. Performance management may be necessary, and this requires the manager to have specific skills and knowledge to avoid exacerbating their condition. As a result managers may either avoid the performance management process altogether, or in attempting to performance manage, increase the risk of being accused of bullying and harassment.

The Managing Staff with Mental Health Concerns seminar and workshop explores:

  • Engaging staff with possible mental health conditions.
  • Providing a balance between asking the hard questions and being supportive.
  • Determining reasonable adjustments.
  • When to start or stop performance management.
  • Who else should be involved in the performance management process.

All CBT workshops are practical, engaging, designed for maximum impact and delivered by CommuniCorp’s senior psychologists locally across Australia.
