CBT | The Art & Science of Coaching
The ability to coach is a key capability for managers and leaders to increase staff skills, engagement and productivity as well as organisational capability as a whole. The two coaching workshops are suitable for all managers and people wanting solid, immediately usable professional training. The emphasis is on practicality and action focus.
Advanced Coaching 1: Fundamentals
The first workshop will provide you with a clear coaching method based on solution-oriented principles, a structured coaching framework and practical overall skills including templates to embed coaching within concrete work-related goals. It teaches the fundamentals such as the stages of coaching; the levels of coaching; motivational interviewing; recognising types of change readiness; disputing limiting beliefs; basic solution-oriented techniques to move people beyond blocks; and collaboratively setting realistic goals.
Advanced Coaching 2: Micro-Skills
This workshop builds on the Coaching Fundamentals and provides cutting-edge techniques and skills in eliciting change, leveraging people’s strengths and sidestepping resistance. Key skills learned will be how to resolve ambivalence; how to recognise change talk; how to eliciting change statements and respond to them; how to eliciting solutions and competence; and how to use advanced language techniques (the ‘language of possibility’) for keeping people focussed on solutions rather than problems. This session really provides master skills in empowering others.
